Local continued competency requirements are intended to be a "big bucket" of topic offerings, allowing state and local EMS regulatory agencies maximum flexibility in continuing education topic requirements for EMS professionals in their state, region, or municipality. NREMT accepts only continuing education approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Prehospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) or any state-approved continuing education offering.
All continuing education offerings on this site are approved by the Connecticut Office of EMS (Course #CTOEMS-2021-967) and the Louisiana Bureau of EMS (Individual Course Numbers) and thus are valid in any state that uses NREMT as its primary requirement for EMS licensure.
